Under Trusted Workforce 2.0, DCSA must have a current, classifiable fingerprint on file for cleared and national security sensitive personnel in order to enroll them in the FBI's Rap Back service, which supports continuous vetting of clearance holders. Fingerprints taken in the past — for a clearance, an investigation, or employment — may not be usable, so a new capture is required. Learn more at dcsa.mil (opens in a new tab).
This applies to you if DCSA, your employer, or your Facility Security Officer (FSO) notified you to provide fingerprints for continuous vetting enrollment. If you're unsure, ask your FSO before scheduling. If you need fingerprints for another reason — a state license, a private employer, a non-DCSA program — this is not the right process.
